Nicola ZAVARISE

Nicola Zavarise October 31, 1930 - December 25, 2007 A quiet, gentle loving man, cherished husband, father and nonno. Peacefully at home with his wife Agnes (Nancy) by his side, is now in the arms of Heavenly Angels. Survived by children George (Nancy), stepdaughter Evonne (Nello), grandchildren Alexandra, Matteo, Anthony and Jackson. Fondly remembered by brother Norio, sisters Norina, Maria and Rita in Italy and Switzerland and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Amabile and Ernesto, sister Malia and his first wife Dina (Spagnolo). Retired employee of George Sinclair Construction for 35 years. Nick enjoyed entertaining neighbourhood children with his beautiful Halloween and Christmas displays and his beloved Pomeranian Dogs. Special gratitude to all Doctors, nurses, the VON (especially Maria) and Father Paul Boucher. If so desired, donations in honour of Nick to the Juravinski Cancer Centre or the S.P.C.A would be appreciated. Visitation at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East (near James) on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 3:45 p.m. Funeral Mass will be offered at St. John the Baptist Church on Saturday, December 29, 2007 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. You will be in our hearts forever till we meet again.
