TIERNEY, Mrs. Dorothy - In Loving Memory of Mrs. Dorothy Tierney. The family announces with sorrow her peaceful passing at Extendicare Nursing Home in Schumacher on Thursday, December 27th, 2007 in her 91st year. Loving mother of Brian (Karen) Tierney of London, Ontario, Doug (Pirjo) Tierney of South Porcupine and Barbara Baird of Vancouver, B.C. Devoted grandmother of Lisa (Geoff) Osborn of Ajax, Tyler and Adam Tierney of London, On. Great grandmother of Caitlyn and Zachary Osborn. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph & Emma Lavereau, her husband Gerald Tierney and son-in-law Michael Baird. Dorothy was born in Timmins was active in the C.W.L. of Nativity Church and the Hospital Auxiliary. She retired from retail sales at Bucovetsky's. Remembrance donations to a charity of your choice will be gratefully acknowledged. A special ‘thank you' to the Caregivers at Extendicare for their excellent care and devotion. A private family funeral and interment will take place in the spring. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place.
