Erlan Albert O'NEIL

O'NEIL, Erlan Albert - passed away peacefully at the Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, Ontario on January 2, 2008 at the age of 69 years. He was predeceased by his wife Jennifer Simonsen in 2005, and by his parents Walter and Freda O'Neil of Oldcastle, Ontario. Erlan will be dearly missed by his children Warren (Jee Sun “Jennifer“) O'Neil of Mississauga, Shannon (Bob) Galarneau of Kirkland Lake, Carolyn (George) Elliott of North Bay. Erlan is survived by his brother Walter (Margaret) O'Neil of Michigan, and sister Susan Leonard of Essex and by his grandchildren Darian, Cassandra, Jessica and Maxwell Galarneau, Stephanie and Meagan Elliott. Erlan will be missed by his niece Julie and nephews Patrick and Christopher. Born in Windsor, Ontario on November 1, 1938, Erlan was the second child born to Walter and Freda. After attending through ROTC and graduating from Queen's University as a Chemical Engineer, Erlan continued in the air force until1967. He went on to receive an additional degree in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario. Later, following his passion to help people, he became a successful registered massage therapist who practised and taught massage therapy at Sutherland-Chan in Toronto until his retirement. The family of the late Mr. O'Neil will receive family and friends at a memorial service to be held on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 3:00 pm at St. John the Divine Church, 885 Scarborough Golf Club Road, Scarborough, Ontario.
