Tyler Franklyn Gillis April 18, 1979 - April 10, 2004 Tyler Franklyn Gillis It is with deep sadness and sorrow we announce the passing of our precious Tyler, who was tragically taken from us on Saturday, April 10, 2004. He was predeceased by his father Marvin and his Amma Augusta Gillis. Tyler was born on April 18, 1979. He will be lovingly remembered by his mother Karen, his sister Janelle, Janelle’s father Dennis Valentine, his grandparents Robert and Barbara Olender, Afi Sveinn Gillis, Baba Julia Tomchuk, uncles, aunts, cousins, and many dear friends, especially Bruce McNeice. Tyler was a loving son, brother, grandson and friend. He loved spending summers at Steep Rock Beach (at the family cabin), and time at his Afi’s Ranch. He enjoyed spending time fishing and working on old trucks. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2004 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). A gathering of family and friends will follow in the reception centre. Tyler’s friends should all consider themselves as Honorary Pallbearers. Flowers are gratefully declined.
