REID, Charlotte Elva “Libby” - Passed away peacefully in Peterborough, on January 15, 2008, at 86 years of age, after a short illness. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband and best friend of 67 years, Malcolm “Ace” Reid, daughters Bonnie (Frank) O'Grady, Janice (Mike) Miller, and daughter-in-law Marlene Reid. Predeceased by her beloved son Joel. Survived by 8 wonderful grandchildren Monica, Michelle, Aaron, and Chad Reid, Patrick (Lan Anh) and Ryan O'Grady, Adam and Stephanie Miller, and 3 beautiful great grandchildren Sara Jade Reid, Zaine and Hunter O'Grady. Also survived by her sister Lucille of Windsor. The family is grateful that Charlotte's loving dedication made it possible for Malcolm to stay at home these past few years. Charlotte was born and raised in Campbellford, Ontario. As a young bride during WWII she and her infant son Joel moved to British Columbia to be near Malcolm when he served in the Canadian Navy. At the end of the war they returned to settle in Peterborough and raised their three children. Charlotte was an employee of Loblaws for over 27 years, retiring at the age of 62 to spend 22 winters at their home in Palm Harbor, Florida where she loved to golf. A Memorial Service will be held at the HIGHLAND PARK VISITATION/RECEPTION CENTRE (2510 Bensfort Road, at River Road South, Peterborough, 745-6984) on Saturday January 19th, 2008 at 12:00 noon with visitation 2 hours prior. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. 10961482
