Mary "Eileen" Jean Nurse ( Deveau) March 23, 1924 - April 15, 2004 NURSE, Mary Jean "Eileen" - 80, Ellershouse, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2004, in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Leo and Mary Rose (Harris) Deveau. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of Scotia Branch Legion. She enjoyed traveling with her husband. She is survived by daughters, Jeanette (Gerald) Petrie, Lower Sackville; Lorraine Guerin, Cameron Lake; son, Stephen (Diane) Barry, Ottawa; sister, Cecilia Johnson, Dartmouth; brothers, Wilfred (Joan), Dartmouth; Frank (Jeanine), Bedford; Don, Ottawa; Joe (Marg), Chezzetcook; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, William; brother, Melvin; sisters, Josephine Mason, Shirley Macumber, and Pauline Giles. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville. Funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. April 21, in St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church. Interment to follow in Oakridge Memory Gardens, Lower Sackville. Donations to Palliative Care at Hants Community Hospital or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
