Dr. Raymond Crook CROOK, RAYMOND_ It is with great sadness the family of Dr. Raymond Crook announces his passing on April 13, 2004 at the age of 79 years. Dr. Crook is survived by his loving wife, Rachel of nearly 50 years; four children, Yvonne (Orest) Federko, Nigel (Sharon) Crook, Lynn Crook (Neil Devitt), and Sheila (Ken) Burdon; and eight grandchildren, Ashley, Lindsay; Jenna, Elyse; Julia; Michael, Victoria and Andrea. Born in Blackpool, England in 1924 to Leonard and Eleanor Crook, he received his medical training at London University 1943-50. Ray served in the RAF Medical Branch as a Flt. Lieut. and was stationed in Malaysia until August 1952. Upon returning to England to continue his medical training, he met a young nurse Rachel and they were married June 1954. In 1957 they moved to Regina with 2 young children. Ray practiced as an Ear Nose and Throat specialist in Regina from 1957 until retirement in 1990. Ray had a special interest in Scuba diving and attended dive trips and conferences as long as he was able. Ray enjoyed Barbershop singing and was a member of the Regina Chapter for many years. He spent all his summer weekends and vacations with the family at the cottage at Sunset Cove on Last Mountain Lake. He will be sadly missed by his many friends, associates, and family. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Regina Funeral Home Hwy #1 E, Regina, SK, with Reverend. John Haas, officiating. Interment to follow at Regina Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Regina office 2360-2nd Ave, Regina, S4R 1A6.
