Paulina Pernal September 25, 1918 - April 16, 2004 PERNAL, PAULINA (nee Karas) Promoted to glory, surrounded by family in the company of angels, on April 16, 2004, at Hotel Dieu Hospital. 85 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Wawrzyniec (1994). Our gratitude to Mama for being a truly loving and devoted mother to us all to the very end. We will never forget her sense of humour, her caregiving spirit, her enormous generosity, and her unwavering faith. Loving mother of Teresa Pudlak, Richard Pernal, Fred Pernal & wife Monica, Irene & husband Stan Stromski, Wanda Pernal and Maria Pernal-Wallag. Much loved Babcia of Andrew & Anji, Grace & Scott, Chris, Stephen & Carissa, Mark, Peter, Christina, Katy, Andrea, James & Julia, Michael, Stefanie, Angela; and great-grandmother of Kieran, Megan, & Gwyneth. Dear sister of Stefa Podsiadly, Stasia Swiestowski, Fr. Blaise Karas and Dr. Adam Karas. Predeceased by her siblings Jan, Andrzej, Walenty, Aniela, & Sister Kwiryna Karas. Paulina was a longtime member of the C.W.L. with Holy Trinity Polish Church and a 3rd Order Member of St. Francis. Visitation will be held Monday & Tuesday April 19 & 20 from 2-5 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. with prayers on Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held Wednesday April 21, 2004 at 9:45 a.m. from Janisse Bros-Marcotte Funeral Home, 1139 Ouellette Ave, (253-5225) to Holy Trinity Polish Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. Interment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Donations may be made to The Building Fund of Holy Trinity R. C. Church. A tree will be planted in memory of Paulina Pernal in the Janisse Bros-Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held September 26, 2004. All are welcome.
