Harald Karsten Lindanger January 14, 1938 - April 12, 2004 LINDANGER, Harald Karsten - 66, Ecum Secum, passed away Monday, April 12, 2004, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Liarvag, Norway, he was the son of the late Holger and Klara (Kallesten) Lindanger. Harald was born on January 14, 1938. He joined the Norwegian Navy at an early age and attended Skipper school which allowed him to travel throughout the world. This led to his arrival in Halifax, where he was employed at Karlsen Shipping Co. and worked aboard the "Brandal". He is survived by daughter, Ann Nancy (Andrew Harold Curran) Lindanger, Halifax; son, Holger Harald Lindanger, Ecum Secum; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Klara Curran; sisters, Henny Kjaer, Norway; Aslaug Dalaker, Norway; Alfrid Stromberg, Norway; Anne Karin Asbjurnsen, Norway; Else Christensen, Norway. Visitation will be held 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Thursday, April 22, with funeral service 10 a.m. Friday, April 23, in St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Fairview. Reception to follow in the church hall. Burial will be in Sunrise Park Cemetery, Hatchet Lake. Donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
