SMITH, John Joseph “Jack“ - Retired from the borough of York Hydro System - 1976. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jack on Thursday, January 3, 2008 in his 94th year. Loving and devoted husband of Doris (nee Breen). Predeceased by his brothers Milford, Roy, Ross, Harold, Harcourt and sister Dean. Special uncle to many nieces and nephews. A heart felt thank you to the staff at Barton Retirement Residence for their kindness and to the Emergency Response Team. Visitation was held at TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 524 Davis Drive, Newmarket (905) 898-2100, on Sunday, January 6 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service was held in the chapel on Monday, January 7, 2008 at 11 a.m. with a reception following. Interment Queensville Cemetery. In Jack's memory donations to The Lung Association or to The Salvation Army would be appreciated. 10952315
