LEE, CLARA I. - Born January 19, 1919 - Died January 10, 2008 at Tufford Nursing Home, St. Catharines, peacefully in her sleep. She had over 7 years of excellent care by the Tufford nurses and staff. Survived by her son Wayne Lee, daughter Linda Logan (Charles Phillipe), daughter Twila (Ed Murphy) and her grandchildren: Justin, Trevor, Heather, Melanie and Becky and their families including great grandson Michael. Special life long friend of Isabel Bradfield and Betty Winmill. Also survived by her brothers Milo and George Crumb and sister Jean Murphy and their families, sisters-in-law Winifred Cameron, Eloise McBain, Marjorie Stickles, Betty Lee and brother-in-law Norman Lee and their families, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Bertha, Annie, Jennie and Ella and brothers Charlie, Stan and Gordon. Clara was born in Dunnville, Ontario. She worked in Dunnville at a clothing factory before she married Murray L. Lee (1929 - 1995). They moved to Welland in 1942. Clara was accomplished in many handicrafts. She boarded workers in her home from many parts of the country. She was an avid gardener. Clara was a devoted church member of the St. Andrew's Presbyterian, Kirk-On-The-Hill and Knox Presbyterian congregations. All who knew her valued her friendship and hard work. Following the wishes of Clara and the family, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation but a private family interment will take place at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by the H.L. CUDNEY FUNERAL HOME, 241 West Main Street, Welland. Since Clara was a country girl and had a great love of animals, donations to the Welland Humane Society would be appreciated. 10958511
