HALLIWELL, David John - At the St. Catharines General Hospital, Thursday, January 10, 2008, David John Halliwell, passed away peacefully in his 79th year. Born February 21, 1929, son of the late Catherine and John “Jack“ Halliwell. Loving husband of 53 years to Lillian (nee: Roberts) Halliwell. Wonderful loving father to Brian (Heather) Halliwell, Deborah (Rick) Agnew and Brenda Halliwell. Loving “Papa“ to Kevin Campbell, Charlene (Dale) Burkell, Ashley Dawn Halliwell, Benjamin Hutchinson, Dacotah Halliwell, Desiree Halliwell and Hannah Hutchinson. “Great- Papa“ to Caleb Brennan Burkell. Dave is also survived by sister Margaret (Robert) Flaherty, brothers: Gordon (Dolores) Halliwell and Douglas (Diane) Halliwell as well as many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Dave was admired and respected by all who knew him. He will be remembered with love for his strength, knowledge and patience. In following Dave's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial open house is planned for Sunday, January 13 at Debbie's ~ 4 Roseland Ave., St. Catharines from 1-3 p.m. (no flowers please).
