Lorene Angott (née Senger) September 20, 1933 - April 18, 2004 It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mom and grandma. After a lengthy illness, mom passed away at the Victoria Hospital. She was predeceased by her parents Norma and Philip Senger. She leaves to mourn and cherish her memory, her beloved husband of 42 years Pat Angott, her daughter Jodee (Jon) Stewart, grandsons Keenan and Connor, her son Joel (Marlene Claeys), grandson Alexander, sister Alice Hawkeye and family of Edmonton, AB, brother Norman (Ida) Senger of Calgary and family, Alec and Nancy (Moser) McNiven of London, England, Shawn (Christina) McNiven and Hamish of Ottawa and Patricia and John McNiven of Regina, and many other relatives and dear friends. Lorene was born and raised in Southey Saskatchewan. She moved to Regina in 1951 and in 1958 she met her husband Pat. She worked with IPSCO Steel and then P.F.R.A. as a draft person and later with land titles and minerals, assessing the oil rights for the provinces. She moved to Winnipeg in 1961 to marry Pat. They enjoyed many years traveling to the west coast and then many more years raising their family in St. Norbert. She started her own business in 1986 as a manufacturers agent, a career she loved. She met many wonderful people in that industry. In 1996 her first grandson was born and her focus changed to the grandchildren. She often said they were the light of her life. In 2001, she was diagnosed with cancer and fought a long and hard battle with much strength and great dignity. Mom appreciated all the love and support she received from her family and many friends. We will miss you and love you lots Mom. The family would like to thank Dr. Jeyakumar, Dr. Maxwell, Astrid and all the wonderful people of the Victoria Hospital oncology department. Dr. Eng and the nurses at the Victoria Hospital, especially Wendy of the 3rd floor and Dr. Navaratnam and Dr. N. Ahmed, Scott Payton and Cheryl Theobald of Cancer Care Manitoba. Prayers will be said on Thursday, April 22nd, 2004 at 1:45 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 22nd, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. in the St. Vital Catholic Church, 1629 Pembina Hwy with Rev. Dr. Patrick A. Morand presiding. Interment will follow in the Ft. Garry Roman Catholic Cemetery, 826 Crescent Drive.
