TYHONCHUK, Olga (nee Nowik) - Passed away peacefully at St.Catharine's General Hospital with her family at her side on January 12, 2008 in her 84th year. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Lydia Tyhonchuk and her partner David MacKay of Truro, Nova Scotia; daughter Sonia Tyhonchuk and son-in-law Bruce Kaufman of Calgary, Alberta. Predeceased by husband Mocey (Michael), parents Andrij and Tatiana Nowik , brother Nicholas formerly of Belarus then Germany. She will be lovingly remembered by her sister Maria and brother-in-law Peter Bourak of Beamsville, niece Helen Rojenko (Jerry) of Beamsville, niece and goddaughter Orysia Lysyk (George) of Oshawa , nephew Andrey Bourak (Lucy) of Beamsville and her many great nieces and nephews; sister-in-law Halia Nowik and her sons Andrei (Manuela) and Orest of Germany; her remaining family, cousins and niece, in Belarus and Ukraine. Friends and family may call at the STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905- 945-2755) from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday January 15 with Panachyda to be held Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Prayers Wednesday morning 9:30 a.m. at Stonehouse-Whitcomb with the Funeral to follow at St George's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 19 Ontario Street in Grimsby, on Wednesday January 16, 2008 at 10 a.m. Father Michael Pograniczny will officiate. A reception will be held immediately after the service in the parish hall. Interment to follow at St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Cemetery, 1280 Dundas Street West, Oakville. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish may make a donation in her memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, Children of Chernobyl Canadian Fund (care of 2118-A Bloor St., W., Suite 200, Toronto, ON, M6S 1M8), or to St. George's Ukranian Orthodox Church. 10958720
