COLLARD, Carol (Nixon) - It is with deep sadness that the family of Carol announce her passing on Sunday January 13, 2008 at the age of 48. Beloved wife of William (Bill). Loving mother of Bill Jr. (Melanie), Cindy Nixon and the late Chrissy Nixon. Cherished daughter of Edna (Dutcher) Collard and the late Wilbert Collard. Dear sister of Bonnie Reece (Kelly). Carol will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Shella and Chayse Nixon. She was born in Welland and remained a life long resident attending local schools. She worked as a cook at the Blue Star restaurant and was member of the Welland Ladies Cribbage League. The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME 827 Main Street East Welland on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday in the Funeral home chapel at 1pm. Cremation will follow. If desired donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be appreciated by the family. 10958744
