MARINO, DOMENICO passed away peacefully after a short illness at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Tuesday January 15, 2008 at the age of 85 years. Born in Realmonte Sicily and moved to Canada in 1955. Survived by his loving wife Maria of 58 years, children Joseph Marino and his wife Tatiana of Fort Erie, Pascal Marino of Fort Erie, Dina Jones and her husband David of Oakville, Angelina D'Ambrosio of Mississauga, Charlotte Marino of Mississauga, grandchildren Gregory, Christopher, Christine, Tracy, Paul, Nicole Sam and great granddaughter Megan, surviving sister Calogera Nicosia, nieces and nephew Paulina, Gerlanda, Giuseppina, Rosetta and Giovanni, also survived by sisters in law Calogera and Giovanna and families. Predeceased by his parents Guiseppe and Gerlanda, brother Giovanni. Dominico worked as a miner in Northern France in the Province of Pas-de Calais. Upon arrival to Canada he worked for Provincial Gas Company and then Gould Battery where he retired from. He was a dedicated and loyal family man who lived a life of Morality and integrity, noted for his strength and his ability to work hard. Family and friends are invited to the FORT ERIE CHAPEL of the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOMES 21 Wintemute St on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be recited on Friday at 3:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with father Joe Ingrao officiating.
