GOETZ, Gerry - Passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 13, 2008 at the Niagara-on-the-Lake General Hospital at the age of 61. Beloved husband of Karan for 39 years. Dear father of Tricia (Curt) and Tina (Trevor). Cherished grandfather of Indiana and Reed. Son of Wilhelm and Lydia Goetz. Brother of Hildegard, Bill (Gayle) and Edith (Rob). Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Gerry was a volunteer firefighter in Virgil for 26 years. Gerry's family will receive friends at the NIAGARA-ON-THE- LAKE CHAPEL of the MORGAN FUNERAL HOMES 415 Regent Street, on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate his life will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church (2027 Niagara Stone Road) on Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment will follow at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery. For those who wish memorial donations may be made to the Virgil Firefighters Association or Trinity Lutheran Church.
