JOHNSTON, Herbert Clifton - at Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton, on Tuesday January 15, 2008. Herb Johnston of Southampton in his 87th year. Beloved husband, for 61 years, of Ruth Johnston (nee deMontmorency) of Southampton. Dear father of Trudy and her husband John Peirson of Southampton, Garry and his wife Caroline of Waterloo and Jodi and her husband Jeff Gross of Kitchener. Also survived by his sister, Melba Stirling of Saskatoon Saskatchewan. Proud and loving grandfather of Jennifer and John Peirson, Melissa Peirson and her partner Doug Sands, Sarah Johnston and Isabella and Henry Gross. Sadly missed by his great grandchildren, Christina, Evan and Kelsey Wyborn and Liam Sands. Predeceased by his parents Elmer and Maysel Johnston and by his brother, Gordon. Cremation. Visitation from the EAGLESON FUNERAL HOME, Southampton on Friday January 18, 2008 from 7-9 pm. A Service to Celebrate the Life of Herb Johnston will be held in the Southampton United Church on Saturday at 2 pm. A Time of Fellowship and Sharing will follow in the Social Hall of the Church. Private Interment of Ashes at Southampton Cemetery. Expressions of Remembrance to the Southampton United Church, Building Fund or to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation. St Lawrence Lodge #131 A.F.&A.M., Southampton, will hold a Masonic Memorial Service at the Funeral Home, Friday Evening at 7:30 pm.
