Rudolph Valentine BLENMAN

BLENMAN, Rudolph Valentine Peacefully at home in the presence of his loving family on Tuesday, January 1, 2008 in his 75th year. Rudy Blenman, born in St Michael, Barbados was a dear son of his mother, the late Ismay Blenman. Devoted husband of 50 years and best friend of Verene Atkins. Loving father of Grantley (Vilma) of Pickering, ON. Will be forever remembered by his cherished grandchildren Joy and Josiah. Predeceased by grandchildren Joshua and Mesha. Dear brother of Pearl Ferguson and predeceased by brother Henderson Blenman, both of Barbados. Rudy was proud to have served in the R.A.F. for 5 years. Friends may pay their respects to the family at the Whelan Funeral Home, 515 Cooper St. (between Bay & Lyon) on Friday from 6 to 9 PM. A Service of Christian Funeral to be held on Saturday January 5, 2008 at St Andrew's Presbyterian Church (82 Kent St. at Wellington) at 10 AM. Interment to follow at Notre Dame Cemetery. A sincere expression of thanks to all who cared for Rudy, especially Dr Margaret Farncombe and her staff, Marka and Meta for their dedication and compassion. Donations in memory of Rudy to the Palliative Care Outreach or to the Almoner Fund C/O St Andrew's Church are greatly appreciated by the family.
