OBITUARY ROBERT ARTHUR SPELLER Died peacefully in his eighty-sixth year on Wednesday morning, January 2, 2008, after a long, valiant fight with cancer. Beloved husband and best friend of Tina, loving father of Donald (Ann Marie), Toronto and Donna (Paul Vetter), Burlington, and devoted grandfather of Alexander Vetter (Krista), Guelph, Christian Vetter (Trisha), Burlington, and Andrew Speller, Halifax, and great-grandfather of Mason Vetter, Guelph. He was the last surviving sibling of eleven brothers and sisters. Bob was with Quebec Industrial Relations Institute of Montreal for forty-one years, President for the last fifteen years. He retired to Kingston, Ontario where he enjoyed twenty years of traveling with Tina, and golfing and curling with his dear friends at the Cataraqui Golf and Country Club. A memorial service will be held at the Cathedral Church of St. George, 270 King St. East (at Johnson St.), Kingston, ON at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2008. The service will be followed by a reception at the James Reid Funeral Home Reception Centre (1900 John Counter Blvd.), Kingston, ON. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Centre of South-Eastern Ontario, Kingston General Hospital Foundation or the St. George's Cathedral Building Fund in memory of Robert Arthur Speller would be much appreciated.
