LINCOLN, Roy Henry. Passed away on Saturday, January 5, at the age of eighty-five. Predeceased by his beloved wife of fifty-eight years Lois (Ward). Loving and devoted father of Ward (Gail Parker), Lesley (Glenn Barber), Nancy (Bob Ungar), and Laurie (Rob Ryan). Cherished grandfather of Curtis and Liane Ryan. He will also be sadly missed by his sister Audrey MacDonald (Ottawa), his brothers Edward (Kingston), and Reg (Syracuse, N.Y.), and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was a decorated WWII veteran (Royal Canadian Corps of Signals, Canadian Infantry Division), and landed at Normandy, France on D-Day, June 1944. Roy also leaves behind many friends and acquaintances made through his memberships at Rotary (Verdun Lasalle), the MRCC Radio-Control Flying Club, and Liaison Ste-Anne's (War Veterans' association). Visitation will be held at the Collins Clarke Funeral Home, 222 Highway 20 (exit 49, Cartier), Pointe Claire, Quebec on Friday, January 11, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Roy's memory may be made to the Canadian Lung Association.
