SOMERS, Joseph Evan. Passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, January 11, 2008 at the age of seventy-six years. Devoted husband of Ina for fifty-five years. Predeceased by his parents, his brother Jim and sister Margie. Father to Cindy, David (Dianne), Rhonda Lee (Marty) and Lucas (Joanne). Loving Papa to Randy, Tamithy and Tiana. Great Papa to Aiden and Quinn. Brother to Chester, Sister Ann, John (Shirley), Ursula (Pat), Eugene (Norma), Wilfred (Bridgett), Sharon (Andrew). He will be fondly remembered by many family members and friends. Visitations at Yves Legare (J.F. Wilson) 5784 Verdun Ave. Verdun, Monday January 14, 2008 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel, Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at 12 noon. Burial to take place at a later time at the convenience of the family. Heartfelt appreciation to the Nursing Staff and Dr. Handanos of the CLSC Verdun and Michelle from NOVA.
