THEODOROPOULOS, Theodore 2008-01-02 Mr. Theodor Theodoropoulos, age 79 years, a resident of Thunder Bay, passed away peacefully in St. Joseph‘s Hospice on Tuesday, January 1, 2008. Theodor was born in 1928 in Kallithea, Greece and emigrated to Canada – Montreal, Quebec in 1963, and in 1965 he moved to Fort William, Ontario. Theodor was employed by Bombardier, previously known as Canada Car, and retired in 1993 at the age of sixty five. He was a member of the C.A.W. #1075, and a member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Theodor is survived by several relatives in Canada and in Greece. He was predeceased by his parents and his wife Vasiliki in April of 2007. The Funeral for the late Mr. Theodor Theodoropoulos will be held on Friday, January 4th, 2008 leaving the Harbourview Funeral Centre at 10:30 a.m. for the Service at 11:00 a.m. in the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 651 Beverly Street at Balmoral, presided by Rev. Fr. Nikolaos Tambakis. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. with Prayers at 7:30 p.m. the same evening in the Chapel of the Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland Street. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in Theodor‘s memory to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, or to the charity of your choice.
