OHLGREN, Margaret 2008-01-04 Mrs. Margaret Ohlgren (nee Sloza), age 88, passed away peacefully at TBRHSC with family by her side on Wednesday, January 2, 2008. Margie was born in Poland on July 30, 1919 and immigrated to Canada with her family in 1929, they settled in Renwer, MN. She met and married Nick Hutsul, in 1952 they moved to Fort William, ON. Together they had seven children. Through the years, Margie worked at K-Mart, and Bourke‘s Drug Store. She loved gardening and camping, especially her many trips to Sibley, mushroom picking, canning foods, cooking and spending time with her family. Margaret later met Arthur Ohlgren and they married in St. Catherines. As a couple they enjoyed camping and traveling. Attending Art‘s musical functions was always something she looked forward to. Some of their memorable adventures were to Barbados and P.E.I. She was always fond of her animals, most recent which were her dog Snoopy and cat Angel. Margie attended St. Mary‘s Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Margie is survived by daughters Lola Honkey (Paul), Julie Roberts (Ivan Debrie), Brenda Hutsul (Tim Hartman); sons Don Hutsul (Carmen), Ken Hutsul (Helen) of Camrose, Alberta (enroute), and Wayne Hutsul; eighteen grandchildren and their spouses, and eighteen great-grandchildren; sisters Ann Cosgrove, and Nellie Hrubenuk. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives also survive. She is predeceased by her first husband Nick Hutsul, and husband Arthur Ohlgren; son Don (in infancy); brother Peter Sloza and his wife Anna, brother-in-law Stan Hrubenuk and her parents Thomas an Anastazja (Elsie) Sloza. Funeral Services for the late Mrs. Margaret Ohlgren will be held on Monday, January 7, 2008 at 10:30 AM in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 Gore Street West at James with Canon John Jordan officiating. Interment to follow in Mountain View Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held in the chapel Sunday afternoon from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM.
