MOREAU, Jim 2008-01-09 Mr. Jim Moreau age 46 years, a resident of Thunder Bay, passed away in the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on Monday, January 7, 2008 after a courageous battle with colon cancer. Jim was born in Montreal, Quebec and moved to Thunder Bay, where he attended Corpus Christi, E.Q. Jennings and Port Arthur Collegiate Institute. He worked as a Pharmacy Technician and was most recently employed at Shoppers Drug Mart in McIntyre Centre. He loved watching football and hockey and was an avid fan of the Oakland Raiders and the Montreal Canadiens. Jim was a loving husband and father to his family and will be sorrowfully missed. He is survived by his wife Darragh, son Jacob, daughter Penny, stepdaughter Cadie-Lynn, brothers Pierre (Barb), John (Lorraine), Marathon, Ontario; special cousin Julie (Stephen) Smeltzer, Capreol, Ontario; special nephew Adam Moreau, nieces Samantha and Nellie and nephews Christopher, Stephen and Robbie. He was predeceased by his mother Patricia (Ann) Moreau in 1985 and his grandmother Nellie Lally in 1995. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 11, 2008 leaving the Blake Funeral Chapel at 9:30am Funeral Mass in St. Casimir’s Church at 10:00am celebrated by Rev. Andrew Deptula. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Vigil prayers will be offered on Thursday, evening at 7:00 pm in the Blake Funeral Chapel. If friends desire, memorials to the Moreau Children‘s Trust Fund c/o “Darragh Fiedler” Royal Bank (Hodder Avenue Branch) would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Jim Moreau in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove. Annual dedication service Sunday, June 28, 2009.
