Vivian Ruth Rose Vivian Ruth Rose passed away peacefully in London, Ontario on January 01, 2008 at the age of 81. Vivian was born and raised in Nova Scotia, residing in the Halifax - Dartmouth area with her older sister Marguerite and mother Sadie Evans. There she met the love of her life, Lance Rose, whom she married in 1950. After spending the early years of their marriage in Newfoundland and Halifax, they eventually moved to Moncton, New Brunswick before relocating to St. Catharines, Ontario as a result of Lance's employment with NCR. Vivian was a devoted mother to her four children and was a very active member of her church in each community she resided in. She possessed a generous spirit and would always find the time to volunteer for a cause or help a friend or neighbour in need. She came from a very musical family and she herself was blessed with a beautiful voice that could fill the room. She was an accomplished singer and created many lasting memories through her music for the people who knew her. She is survived by her children Bob (Kate) of Toronto, Barry (Kelly) of Brownwood Texas, Susan (Egon) of Calgary and David (Cathie) of London. She is fondly remembered by her grandchildren Graeme, Lee, Adam and Meghan. She was predeceased by her loving husband Lance (1989), her sister Marguerite(1995) and her mother Sadie (1992). A celebration of her life will be held at Carleton United Church in St. Catharines on Saturday May 3 at 1:30 pm. Donations in memory of Vivian can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer's Society. January 15, 2008
