Wayne Edmund Gladwin December 13, 1946 - April 26, 2004 GLADWIN, Wayne Edmund - 57, Cole Harbour and formerly of Timberlea, passed away April 26, 2004, in the QEII Health Sciences Centre, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Arthur and Lillian "Diddi" (Richardson) Gladwin. He was a self-employed carpenter by trade for 20 years, and then moved on to become a building inspector for the city of Halifax/HRM in 1987. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, he also enjoyed fishing, golfing, riding his four wheeler, and just tinkering around his shed. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved wife, Heather (Wessell) and infant son Andrew Mark. He is survived by his loving daughter, Angella Rose, at home; brothers, Graeme (Barb), Bridgewater; Skip (Angela), Brookside; sisters, Judy (Mrs. Ed Ayoub), Ottawa, Ont.; Debbi, Halifax; Kerry (Mrs. Dan Daley), Halifax; Mikki Carr, Timberlea; Linda, Halifax; Robyn (Mrs. Stephen Harding), Timberlea. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Danny Wessell, Westville; several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. No visitation or flowers by request. Funeral service will be held Friday, April 30, at 11 a.m. in Pope John XXIII Roman Catholic Church, 35 Colby Dr., Father David Poirier S.A. officiating. Burial to follow immediately in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lower Sackville. Reception following in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth to celebrate his life and memory and share in his happy times. Donations in memory of Wayne may be made to the Blood and Blood Forming Organs through the VG Site, QEII.
