McGINNIS, Elva Luella - Entered into rest at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay on Friday, January 18, 2008. Elva Sholer, in her 97th year, was the beloved wife of the late William John McGinnis. Loving mother of Victoria and her husband Mel Booth, Doris and her husband the late Ernie Villeneuve, Audrey and her husband Howard Shaw, Verna and her husband the late Claude Patterson, Lorna and her husband the late Ernest Bowler, Ila Holmes and Elwood Hayes, Lloyd McGinnis and his wife Carolyn, Evelyn and her husband Gerald Kane, and Judy and her husband Michael Ferrey. Cherished grandmother of 20 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren. Predeceased by her sisters, Irene Hughes, Velma Fleming-Jenkins, and Hazel Thurston, also, by her grandson, and two great grandsons. Fondly remembered by nieces and nephews. Visitation at the MACKEY FUNERAL HOME, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay (705-328-2721) on Monday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel on Tuesday, January 22nd at 2:00 p.m. Interment at Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay.
