HARRISON, KENNETH ARCHIBALD - It is with great sadness that the family of Ken Harrison of Gagetown, NB announces his sudden passing at the Oromocto Hospital on Sunday, January 20th, 2008. Ken was born in New Jerusalem on November 26, 1920. In 1953 Ken left his beloved home and moved the family to Gagetown. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Geraldine (Webb) of 57 years; daughters, Debbie de Monye (Casey), Brenda Bordage (Mark) and Donna Thomas (Brad) and his much loved grandchildren, Alex, Nick and Amy de Monye, Stephen, Corey, and Ashley Bordage and Emily and Katie Thomas. He will also be missed by sisters, Verna Webb of Sussex, Marion Harrison of Hampton and Shirley Douglas of Truro, NS and brother, Clarence of Saint John; sister-in-laws, Irene Bryant of Gagetown, Evelyn Harrison of Hampton and Edith Webb of BC. as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; sister, Ruth; brother, Clive; sister-in-laws, Jessie and Julia and brother-in-laws, Bob, Mac, Lloyd, Charles, Earl and Pat. He worked for the DND for 34 years and was a recipient of the Paul Harris Fellowship Award. His life was full of music. He was inducted into the NB Country Music Hall of Fame in 2000. He enjoyed playing music with all of his friends around the province. He was a director of the Queens County Fair for many years and was the voice of the annual horse haul match. He was a director of the Camp Gagetown Historical Society. He was an elder of Grace United Church, Gagetown plus a member of the Gloria Dei Singers for 24 years. Visitation will be at Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held at Grace United Church, Gagetown on Thursday, January 24, 2008 at 2pm with Rev. Bob Johnson officiating, assisted by Rev. Jennifer Brown. Interment to follow at Upper Hampstead Cemetery. No flowers by request, donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation, MS Society, Grace United Church or donor's choice. www.oromoctofh.com January 22, 2008
