Amanda Maillet 1926 - 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Amanda Maillet at the Villa Providence on Tuesday, January 22th, 2008, following a lengthy illness. Born March 4, 1926 in Newcastle, she was the daughter of Désiré and Laudia (Arseneau) Richard. She was the beloved wife of the late Edouard Maillet; loving mother to Jeannette (late Georges Babin) of Shediac River, Linda (Terry Barkhouse) of Lower Coverdale, Robert (Huberte) of Winnipeg, and Roger (Gisèle) of Moncton; dear sister of late Edouard (Bertha), late Arthur (late Albertine), Léo (Thérèse), Albert (Dorothée), late Ovila (Doris), Édonia (Alice), Yvonne (late Gérald LeBlanc), Maria (Russell Cail), Dora (late Alfred Daigle), and Géraldine (Ron King); mémère to Mark, Amanda, Andrew, and Jason; great-grandmother of Christian. Amanda enjoyed many years volunteering at the Club D'Age D'or in Dieppe Resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visitation Thursday, from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, from 10 a.m. until departure (10:45). The funeral mass will be held at Ste-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe Friday, January 25th at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. Donations, in memory of Amanda, to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
