Eldon “Sonny” Seip, of Hanover, passed away at Hanover and District Hospital on Tuesday, January 22, 2008. He was 68. Born in Walkerton, Sonny was a member of the Men’s Group and an Elder of First St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church. Survived by his wife Lois (nee Tackaberry) Seip, children Susan (Wayne) Petchey of Niagara Falls, Bradley Seip (Laura) of Brockville, David (Beverley) Seip of Dryden and Corinna Irving (George Guse) of London, grandchildren Jessica, B. J., Miranda, Ben, Steven, Neal, Carissa, Mac, Mary and Sherice, great-grandchildren Adam, Holley, Hope and Carter. Also survived by his mother Madeline (nee French) Seip, brother Dale (Ramona Rose) Seip of Prince George, British Columbia, sisters Yvonne Fountain of Paris and Nancy (Brian) Heinmiller of Norval and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father Roy. Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover on Friday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 11:00 am, at First St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Hanover. Rev. Mark Koehler officiating. Interment in Hanover Cemetery. Memorial donations to First St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Hanover or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
