COLWELL, MICHAEL L.- After a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer and broken hearted over the recent loss of his loving wife Jean in December, Michael Leslie Colwell passed away on the 23rd of January 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital . Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late Stanley and Ruby (Paxton) Colwell. He will be sadly missed by sons, Jeffrey (Kim) and Mike (Serge Boudreau); his beloved "sis", Bunny (Ray Chaisson) Cormier; grandchildren, Michael Jacques, Scott Colwell, and Amber Colwell and several nieces and nephews. Also, grieving the loss of his best friend, is Nuisance and Mandy May, Michael's four legged "partners in crime". Resting at Castle Funeral Homes, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Ave., (634-1701) visitation will take place on Friday, January 25, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from Castle "Fallsview" Chapel followed by a reception in the Fallsview Family Reception Centre. A private family interment reuniting Jean and Michael will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Animal Rescue League would be greatly appreciated by the family.
