MCGOUEY, EDWARD - Mr. Edward McGouey of Ridgewood Veterans Hospital Saint John passed away on January 23, 2008 at the age of 87. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late James and Alice (Scott) McGouey and the husband of the late Phyllis (Smardon) McGouey who passed away in 1993. Edward is survived by two sons, Donnie (Pat) of Highfield and Greg (Bella) of South branch; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Donald McGouey of Picadilly and Billy McGouey of Saint John; as well as several nieces and nephews. Edward was predeceased by two brothers, John and Gregory; and by his sister, Theresa Brown. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Friday 2-4 and 7-9pm. The Royal Canadian Legion Sussex Branch #20 will hold a tribute Friday evening at 6:45pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 11:00 am.
