GOLD, Mildred - Passed away peacefully at Bluewater Health Norman Street Site on Thursday, January 24, 2008, Mildred Esther (Armour) Gold, age 83 of Sarnia. Sadly missed by her husband Alexander “Sandy” Gold. Dear mother of Donald and Karen Gilbert of Point Edward, Karen Gold of Welland, Steven and Kelly Gold of St. Albert, AB, and Sandra and Lloyd Blondin of Sarnia. Special grandmother of Steve and Lisa Gilbert of Boston, Darren Gilbert of Chatham, Brendan and Donovan Gold of St. Albert, and Mitchell and Loralyn of Sarnia, and three great grandchildren.Dear sister of Douglas and Phyllis Armour and Lillian and Richard Maxwell. Beloved sister-in-law of Jim Wright and dear aunt to his daughter Barbara. Predeceased by brother Donald Armour. Mildred was a long-standing member of Delta Chi Sigma Sorority, Blackwell United Church, and the UCW. She was also a proud member of the Rambling Red Roses of the Red Hat Society. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, January 27, 2008, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, ON. A funeral service will be held at Blackwell United Church on Monday, January 28, 2008, at 2:00 PM. Interment to follow in Blackwell Cemetery.
