HERMAN, Apollonia (Appie) passed away in hospital at Nanaimo, BC on December 6, 2006 at the age of 95. She was born in Regina and resided there until moving to Nanaimo in 2001. She was predeceased by Joseph her husband of 50 years in 1981; her sisters Elizabeth Gerigk, Eva Fox and Anne Woycik and brother Matthew Bachman; and grandsons Gary and Timothy. She was also predeceased by a number of brothers-in-law and sisters-inlaw. She is survived by daughter Dorothy (James) Chase of Nanaimo and their children Noreen and Laura; daughter Joie (Robert) Koster of Nanaimo and their children Joanne, Judi, Terese, Paul and Rob; son James (Leona) of Thunder Bay and their children Jamie, Craig, Todd, Darcy and Sean; 12 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grand children. She is also survived by in-laws Madeline Exner, Anne Elieff, Anne Herman, Joan and Adam Niesner and a number of neices and nephews. A funeral was held in Nanaimo on December 11, 2006 followed by Cremation. A Memorial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, July 21, 2007 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Winnipeg & 13th, Regina.
