DAUNCEY - Herbert John was born on November 29, 1915 and passed away peacefully on September 1, 2007. Herb was predeceased by his brother Nelson; brothers-in-law Lloyd Higgins, Fred Chapman and Jack Chapman and sister-in-law Alice Chapman. Herb is survived by his loving wife Dorothy, of 60 years; daughter Shirley Duce (George) and sons Barry (Vi) and Gord (Yvonne). Herb was a proud grandfather of seven, and greatgrandfather of seven. Herb's surviving siblings include Belva Park (George), Mabel Dauncey, Sidney (Shirley) and Phyllis Higgins and their families. Herb was born in Moosomin, and spent his early years on the family farm near Rocanville. He served his country in the armed forces overseas from 1940-1945. Herb returned to the Rocanville area, where he met and eventually married Dorothy Chapman in 1947. They remained on the family farm until 1954. The family lived in Rivers, MB area until 1961. Regina has been their home since then. Herb will be fondly remembered by his family and friends. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Thursday, September 6, 2007 at 2:00 pm.
