LEMIRE-Elizabeth (Bette), nee Hoffman, of Melville, passed away peacefully July 24, 2007 at the age of 92 years. She was predeceased by her loving husband Z. Wilfred Lemire; her parents Mary and Jacob Hoffman; brothers-in-law Laurier, Roland, Armand, Jerry, George Lemire, Frank Jeroski; sisters-in-law Alice Hoffinan, Helen Lemire, Zella Lemire. Left to cherish Elizabeth's memory are her children Ronald of Scotland, Jim (Linda) of Calgary, AB, Robert (Angela) of Jasper, AB, George (Lynn) of Regina, SK and her grandchildren Celene, Terri and Jacob. Elizabeth leaves behind a loving sister, Kay Jeroski and a brother, John Hoffman, numerous relatives, a world of friends and a legacy of love and caring. She was a faithful servant of St. Henry's Parish community and the shut-ins of St. Paul Lutheran Home. She was a long-standing member of Melville's Rosary Sodality, Catholic Women's League, St. Peter's Hospital Auxiliary, St. Bernard's Club and Welcome Wagon. Elizabeth was an avid gardener and member of the Melville Horticultural Society. She drew great pleasure from homemaking and sharing her prize-winning baking with family, friends and all those in need. The vigil service will be held Thursday, July 26, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Henry's Roman Catholic Church, Melville. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, July 27, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Henry's Church, Melville, SK. In lieu of flowers donations to the Nation Catholic Broadcasting Council in support of Daily Mass on Vision TV are greatly appreciated. Arrangements are entrusted to Matthews Funeral Home, Melville.
