HOWE, Ronald, age 73, of Moose Jaw, passed away suddenly at home on September 5, 2007. Ron was a lifetime resident of the Mitchelton district, farmer, rancher, former RM Councillor, and school bus driver, retiring to Moose Jaw in 1997. Ron enjoyed all activities related to farming and livestock, auction and livestock sales, and he especially enjoyed watching his sons and grandchildren participate in hockey, football, dance and music. He was a member of the Elks and Odd Fellows. Predeceased by his father Oswald Reid Howe, mother Lillian Howe (nee Frost); brother R.E. Howe, sister-in-law Charlotte Howe, brother-in-law Colin Mitchell, and granddaughter Larissa. Ron is survived by his wife of 47 years, Dolores Fern (nee Swanson), sons: Thomas (Wanda), Darrell (Avis), and Don (Kathy); grandchildren: Eric, Johnathan, Chelsea, Aurora, Reid, Sydney, Carter, Olivia, Victoria, and Grayson; sister Eileen Mitchell, brother Gordon (Doreen); and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Ron's life will be held at Minto United Church, 1036 Seventh Ave. NW., on Saturday September 8, 2007 at 1:00 pm. Linda Owens will officiate. Memorialization will take place at a later time. Memorials to the Canadian Diabetes Association, #104 2301 Ave. C. North, Saskatoon, SK, S7L 5Z5, would be appreciated.
