LIGGETT, Stanley Irwin (Stan) - With great sadness but with thanks for a life well lived, the family of Stanley (Stan) Irwin Liggett, announce his passing on August 6, 2007. Stan will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 25 years, Ivaleen; daughter Leanne (Abel) Mejia; son Michael Liggett; step-son Reg Lukiwski (Sandra Englund); stepdaughters Candy (Steve) Davis and Sherry (Bill) Hole. His grandchildren: Andre, Aminta, Terra, Kris, Kyle, Bonnie, Brendan, Jacinda, Justin and Jeremy and his great-grandchildren: Dayton, Austyn, Reese and Brianna were a special joy in his life. Stan was born on January 2, 1927, in Indian Head, Sask. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Esther Liggett and his sister, Elizabeth Liggett. He leaves behind his brothers; Gordon (Molly) Liggett and Don (Marie) Liggett; special brothers-in-law, Art and John and sisters-inlaw, Vi and Marilyn, as well as many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Stan very much enjoyed a long and respected career in the trucking industry both in his own business and later driving for others right until his passing. A special thank-you to the paramedics and General Hospital Emergency staff who attended Stan. A celebration of Stan's life will be held at Eastview Community Center on Friday August 10 from 2:00-4:00. Published in the Regina Leader-Post from 8/8/2007 - 8/9/2007.
