ARMSTRONG, Gwen - Of Amherstview, peacefully after a long struggle with C.O.P.D., at Kingston General Hospital on Thursday, February 14th, 2008. Gwen (nee Bloomfield), loving wife of the late George Armstrong (died 1991). Dear mother of Joan Armstrong (Mike Jenkins) and Elaine Armstrong both of Kingston. Dear sister of Alice Washington of Gravenhurst, Margaret Edwards of Toronto and the late George Bloomfield, Mabel Bjerknes, and Bill Bloomfield. Much loved aunt of many nieces and nephews. Long-time housemother to Queen's Medical students at Medical House. Resting at the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, Cataraqui Chapel, 1900 John Counter Blvd. (at Highway 2) where friends and family will be received Sunday 2 - 4 and Monday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. and one hour prior to the service. Funeral service in the chapel Tuesday February 19th at 2:45 p.m. Interment Cataraqui Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, the family would appreciated donations be made to U.H.K.F.
