LOVIL, Myrna Dawn ( nee Babcock) - In loving memory of Myrna Dawn Lovil, nee Babcock, who passed away peacefully on January 22nd, 2008 at Lake Jackson,Texas after a short battle with cancer. Myrna was born on January, 22nd, 1940 in Miami Manitoba, cherished daughter of Lorne ( predeceased) and Violet Babcock. Beloved wife of Jim Lovil of Texas, and beloved mother of Kim ( Brousseau) Kalviainen ( Esko). Dear sister of Lynn Latreille ( Jim predeceased), and Lorie Lavallee ( Luc). Loving grandmother of Erik Kalviainen ( Amanie), David Kalviainen ( Tina), and Adam Kalviainen. Myrna will be sadly missed by niece Jenny Latreille and nephew Matt Latreille ( Sara) as well as by many relatives across Canada and friends in Sudbury and Texas. Myrna had a full life, filled with travel in earlier years, and many careers, which included working for Computer Devices of Canada in Ottawa. After moving to Texas 35 years ago she owned two businesses, sold Avon, and soon became a District Manager retiring in 1992. Myrna enjoyed making crafts and one of a kind jewelry. She joined the Art League at Brazosport College and flourished as a painter. She became close friends with her classmates and she volunteered at the Art Gallery where she displayed and sold her jewelry and paintings. Myrna's beautiful paintings adorn the homes of family and friends in Sudbury. Myrna loved being an artist. She also loved her two cats and living in her home on Bastrop Bayou with her husband, and best friend, Jim. A memorial service and celebration of Myrna's life will be held on Friday, February 8th at 3:00 pm at All Nation's Church, 885 Prete Street, Sudbury, with a reception to follow. 10980156
