BURKE, Daisy May (Pootosh) - In loving memory of Daisy May (Pootosh) Burke, 63 years, who passed away on Thursday, January 24th, 2008 at the SRH - Laurentian Site. Beloved wife of Richard Burke predeceased. Sadly missed by her children Liz (Stephen Shawanda), Kimberly (Carl Nootchtai), Roger Nootchtai (Vivian Trudeau), Connie Nootchtai (Gerald Brideau), Sandra (Stephen Nadijwan), Henry Nootchtai Jr. (Gail) and their father Henry Nootchtai Sr. Sadly missed by 29 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Dear daughter of Isaac and Marie Pootosh both predeceased. Dear sister of Charlie Therriault (Diane), Lawrence Pootosh, Violet Nootchtai (Gerald predeceased) (friend Rodney Groulx) and Donald Therriault. Dear niece of Bea (Harry Ross predeceased). Dear sister in-law of Dora Nootchtai (Levi Kewais predeceased), Alice (Luke Thibault), Joyce (Jack Brenton), Donald (Judy Nootchtai), Wesley Nootchtai, Rick Nootchtai, predeceased by Eva (Alan Guenette), Mabel (Gordon Espaniel), Zane Nootchtai, Jim Nootchtai and Harold Nootchtai. Daisy will be greatly missed by all those who called her mom, and many family and friends. Daisy worked for many years at the Whitefish Lake First Nation, retiring in 2005. Funeral Service in the Atikameksheng Anishnawbek Community Complex, Whitefish Lake First Nation, Tuesday, January 29th, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Donations to the SRHF Dialysis Unit would be appreciated.
