LINDALA, Taimi E. (nee Keranen) - In loving memory of Taimi E. (nee Keranen) Lindala, 90 years, who passed away Wednesday, January 16th, 2008 at the SRH - Laurentian Site. Taimi was born in Toronto and married Toivo Lindala in 1940 in Copper Cliff. A proud and independent person, Taimi lived life on her own terms. She will be remembered as a kind and compassionate woman who was always quick to help others. She was a member of St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was a great advocate and friend to children. Taimi was a devoted mother and grandmother who was happiest when in the company of her loving family. Beloved wife of Toivo Lindala predeceased 1979. Loving mother of Julia (husband Richard Anderson predeceased) and Janet (husband Darryl Adams predeceased) both of Sudbury, Arthur (wife Maureen) of Nanaimo, B.C., Brenda of Toronto, Sharon (partner David Lawrence) of Vancouver, B.C. and Sandra of Toronto. Cherished grandmother of Chris (wife Jody), Derek (wife Stacey), Kelly, Greg (partner Cheryl), Jeff, Robin, Toby, Helena, Roland, Tyler and great grandchildren Jayme, Bradley, Megan, Jakob, Madison, Georgia and Sadie. Special mother to Karlo Wanhala predeceased and dear friend of Stephanie Barron of Vancouver. Dear sister of Signe Malinen (husband Armas) of Sudbury and the late Tyyne Sirkka, Toini Wuorinen, Tauno and Toivo Keranen all predeceased. Dear sister-in-law of Helvi Keranen of Sudbury. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and their families. Funeral Service in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St. Saturday, January 19th, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. Cremation with interment in the family plot at Whitefish Public Cemetery.
