SAKELLARIOU, Dr. Dimitri Margariti PhD - who was born in Alexandria, Egypt passed away at the age of 82. Dimitri is survived by his sisters, Sofia Zehill of Athens, Mary (Themi) Caradimos of Athens, his brother John (Mary) Sakellariou of Athens, and nephews Dimitri and Alexios Caradimos of Athens; cousins, Alkmine (Ernie) Afaganis and their daughter Ariadne and Dr. Chris (Vivian) Varvis and their daughters Alita and Esme. A very special Thank - You goes to Whilhelmina Pichel, Dimitri's caregiver and friend, whose love and devotion was deeply appreciated. Dimitri's accomplishments include serving in the Greek Navy and attending Athen's University where he graduated with a degree in Chemistry. In 1954 he went to Edmonton where he worked at CIL Inland Cement and the Research Council of Alberta. From there he went on to obtain a PhD in Economics from the University of Alberta and obtained a position at Laurentian University, Sudbury as a professor in 1970 where he remained until present Dimitri's summers were spent in Edmonton. 10962270
