VanDRUENEN, Katherine “Kay“ (nee Freeland) - In loving memory of “Kay“ Katherine VanDruenen (nee Freeland) 73 years of Coniston who passed away Friday January 18th, 2008 at the at SRH- Laurentian Site. Born in Milnet, Kay married Adrien VanDruenen in Coniston 1954. She owned and operated with her husband the Markstay Green House for 13 years. Kay was an active woman who was always quick to help others. She served as President of the English Sector PTA for 2 years. She was a member of the Nickel Knitting & Crafts Club. An avid bowler she also enjoyed travelling and camping. Beloved wife of Adrien “Van“ VanDruenen predeceased 2004. Loving mother of John (Carmen) of Wahnapitae, Allen (Cathy) of Coniston, Brenda (Wade Blackler) of Winnipeg and Gordon (Joanne) of Wahnapitae. Cherished grandmother of Christopher (Stephanie) Celina (Dean) Christina, Stacey and Barb (Ed); great grandchildren Brady, Paige, Saige, Dylan, Abby and Katie. Loving daughter of Hilda (Collins) Freeland of Sudbury and Allen Freeland predeceased. Dear sister of Harry (Marilyn) of Westree, Betty (Alphonse d'Amour) and Pearl (Henri Rochon) both of Coniston, Margaret Labine of North Bay Mary Boyd (Ron predeceased) of Coniston, Shirley Russell (John predeceased) of Sudbury and James (Cecile) of Ottawa. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Funeral Prayers in the R.J. Barnard Chapel JACKSON & BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury, Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008 at 10 AM Interment in the family plot at the St. John's Cemetery, Garson.
