TOMASIK, Jadwiga “Jean“ (nee Walinski) - In loving memory of Jadwiga “Jean“ Tomasik (nee Walinski), 84 years, who passed away at Extendicare Falconbridge in Sudbury on Tuesday, February 12th, 2008. Beloved wife of Stanislaw (Stanley), predeceased 1992. Loving mother of Walter Tomasik (wife Linda) of Sudbury. Dear grandmother of Katherine Tomasik (fiancé Stéphane Aubé) and Michael Tomasik of Sudbury. Loving sister of Jan and Barbara, both of Poland and the late Maria, Irena and Dizek, all predeceased. Jean was born in Poland on February 24th, 1923 and came to Canada in 1949. She lived in Rouyn-Noranda for several years before relocating to Sudbury. She was an excellent cook who worked in a variety of restaurant services in Sudbury, priding herself in her ability to make some of the best pastries and dishes that many people enjoyed. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, on Thursday, February 14th, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at the Civic Cemetery. Donations to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated.
