BABIN, Alexandre - In loving memory of Alexandre Babin, 62 years, who passed away after a long brave battle on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at Sudbury Regional Hospital Memorial site, with his family by his side. Beloved husband of Suzanne Babin (nee Chabot) of Sudbury. Loving father of Michel Babin of Sudbury. Dearly missed by mother Veronica Babin (nee McCue) and of the late Donat Babin. Dear brother of Ollie Byce (Alvin) of Chapleau, Betty Wickenden (Richard) of Manitoulin Island, Edna Clouston (Bruce) of Bradford, Bonnie Desbois (Henry) of Chapleau, John Babin (Sue) of Bolton, Danny Babin (Sharon) of Caledon, Shirley Babin (Roger Chenier) of Arnprior, Joseph Babin (Linda) of Hillsburg, Peggy McKnight (John) of Chapleau, Allan Babin (Margaret) of Oshawa, Mary Catherine Johns (Tim) of Burlington and Troy Babin (Rina) of Mississauga. Survived by his sisters-in-law Colette Tourigny (Florent) of Ottawa, Lise Brisson and Tia Brisson both of Quebec. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Alex was a member of the Library and the Royal Canadian Legion in Chapleau. He also was a Hockey coach for many years and played with the Friday Nighters in Chapleau, and was known as “The Fearless Leader“. He lived for his family and all his previous students. Resting at the Chapleau Civic Centre, Chapleau on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at the Sacred Heart Church, Chapleau, on Saturday February 16, 2008 at 11 a.m. Cremation at Park Lawn Crematorium, Sudbury.
