DUKE, Douglas Ernest - At the North Bay General Hospital on Tuesday February 12, 2008. Beloved husband of Lillian Florence Burton, in his 89th year. Loving father of Patty Duke Gibson of North Bay and Peter Duke and his wife Lenora of Burlington. Predeceased by his son in law Dave Gibson and by his sister Verna Duke. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Alicia, Barry James “BJ“, Daryl and Jeff. Doug served with the Royal Canadian Navy during WWII. After the war he worked for many years as a real estate agent in North Bay and area and was a member of the North Bay Real Estate Board. As per Doug's request there will be no visitation. Cremation will be followed by a spring interment of ashes. If desired, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetic Society will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
