MARKUS, Antal “Tony“ - Passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 2, 2008, at his home in Brantford, in his 72nd year, with his wife and best friend Debra by his side. Husband of Debra (nee Martin). Father of Alex (Lisa), Andrew (Lise), Elizabeth, Christine (Alex). Step-father of Nicole (Warren), Carl (Nicole). Grandfather of Carly, Caitlin, Mikaila and Ethan. Tony immigrated to Canada in 1956 and made Brantford his home. Tony was a long time employee of L.P. International. Tony loved astronomy, soccer and drag racing. Friends and family will be received at the BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Avenue on Tuesday, February 5 from 7-9 p.m. where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Following the funeral service a reception will be held in the Magnolia Wing of the Funeral Home. Donations may be made in Tony's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society. At last Tony finally has a clear view of the stars that he has always longed for.
