OMALEY, Patricia Winifred (nee Tiernam) In loving memory of Patricia (nee Tiernam) Maley, 81 years of Sudbury, who passed Friday morning, May 7, 2004 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital-Laurentian Site. She was born in London, England and married John Maley in 1946 in Edinburgh, Scotland. Patricia came to Sudbury in 1946 from Scotland. A Roman Catholic she belonged to Holy Redeemer Parish. Always quick to help others she had been a volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society and the hospital auxiliary at the Sudbury General Hospital. She was a great friend and advocate for the local neighbourhood children. An accomplished knitter and crafts person she made dolls, teddy bearers, mittens, and sweaters. Her creations were treasured by family and friends and helped many infants at the maternity department. She enjoyed playing cards and gardening. She had a great appreciation for the beauty of flowers. Patricia had the wonderful ability to make friends easily she generously shared her gift of conversation with others. The focus of her life was her loving family. Beloved wife of John Maley of Sudbury. Loving mother of Michael (wife Susan) and Gerald (wife Cheryl) both of Sudbury. Cherished grandmother of Kelly, Roxanna (husband Steve), Cara, Alison (fiancé James), Jenna, Sarah and Scott. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, Monday, May 10, 2004 at 11:30 am. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
